Creation labs

Labs are multi-day laboratory sessions for artists in the performing arts who are developing a project or an idea in the early stages of creation. Through an organic process that blends collective and individual work and focuses strongly on playing and improvisation, participants are invited to make an intensive dive into their project or ideas.

The process is sensitively facilitated, following the development of the work, the process and the actual needs at any moment.

• to refine your personal practice

• develop your training

• make or develop performative material

• hone playing and performance skills

• explore new dramaturgical approaches

Time is also dedicated to artistic dialogues and reflection, investigating the work through exchange with others and allowing the work to speak for itself. This is often a challenging aspect of creation to do alone, as it is the impact of the others that can set the ideas and materials in motion in unexpected ways.

• connect with colleagues across disciplines and backgrounds

• reflect on your work and on that of others in a way that helps it to unfold
